No Excuses!

Are you the kind of person (make that nerd) who beams with excitement whenever the word RAM or hard-drive is mentioned within fifty feet? If you are then the following post should be right up your geek street. If you’re not then you should read it anyway, because you just might learn something amazing. The post is about energy saving computers and is really quite fascinating, even if I do say so myself.
Me, I’m practically a technophobe. I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between an evil energy wasting, mega-box 1980s computer and a brand-new top-of-the-line thin as glass smart-ass modern notebook computer. But what I do know is this: we all use computers and it’s about time we looked to them for saving energy, since they have to be one of the biggest culprits in the wasting-electricity world.
Now, surely some of you are thinking they must cost a bomb, right? These all singing all dancing energy saving super computers–I’ll never be able to afford one! That’s where you’re wrong. In fact, they don’t cost a lot more than the regular computers. So with that as an incentive there really is no reason for any of us not to look in to it, me thinks. To my mind (and Enigin Geek’s mind) it just simply doesn’t make sense to waste energy when you don’t have to.
With an energy saving computer you can consider yourself as doing your bit for the environment…even if you do fly regularly and drive a petrol-guzzling Jeep. Everyone has to begin somewhere, right?
